This Family Rocks!

"IT HELPS to be versatile in showbiz. Opera singer Monique Brynnel stars in The Production Company's toe-tapping Follies tomorrow night at The Arts Centre, but away from the stage she's sung vocals on the album of her son, Jack Weaving, who's lead singer of The DOW. Jack doesn't exactly have the same music tastes as his mum - his genre is described as 'electro punk rock' - but Monique and hubby Jon Weaving lent their voices to the album. Family sing-a-longs must be a hoot."

Monique Brynnel - making her Opera Australia debut as Adele - is ideal for operetta.  Her sparkling interpretation of the parlourmaid will probably steal the show in Australia's first live telecast of a performance at the Opera House.
